What are the meanings of the audible alerts and can I disable them?
Here's a breakdown of the audible alerts provided by The MeatStick and their meanings:
Long Beep: Indicates the addition or editing of a cook in progress.
Cook Alerts
Three Repeated Beeps with Flashing Internal Temperature Icon: Alerts you when the early warning temperature has been reached.
Constant Beeps: Signals that the target temperature has been achieved.
Cook Issue Alerts
Two Repeated Beeps with Flashing Ambient Temperature Icon: Indicates that the ambient temperature is too low or too high based off your cook settings.
Four Repeated Beeps: Indicates there's an issue with the cook and to please check on the Stick. Causes could be that the Stick is currently overheating (either ambient or internal) or will overheat at current rate of cooking.
Two Short Beeps Every 10 Seconds with Flashing or Missing Bluetooth Icon: Informs you that the Bridge has lost connection with the Stick.
One Short Beep Every Ten Seconds with Flashing Cook Name: Alerts you that the Stick's power level is low and may turn off any minute.
Please note that the beep sound on the WiFi Bridge cannot be disabled on the first generation of Bridges (Red Series).
