# How to insert the Stick into your meat

In general, the Stainless Steel portion of the Stick must be completely inserted or mostly inserted into the meat (depending on the version). Please watch the below video for visuals.

Note: The MeatStick V only needs to be inserted up to the Minimum Insertion Line. However, we do recommend inserting it further.
