# Why no ambient temperature on the Mini?

Rest assured, the MeatStick Mini operates uniquely due to its compact design. Here's what you need to know:

**Single Temperature Sensor:**

* Measures internal temperatures up to 185°F (85°C).

**Size and Functionality:**

* The MeatStick Mini is the smallest wireless meat thermometer available, designed for compact efficiency.
* Due to its size, it does not have an ambient temperature sensor.

**Looking for Ambient Temperature Sensing?**\
Explore **the MeatStick Chef**. It offers both an internal and an ambient temperature sensor, providing precise monitoring of your meat and the cooking environment, in a compact design similar to the MeatStick Mini.
