Cooking with more than one Stick
Running a brisket and ribs at once? Mains and sides in the oven? You can monitor several Sticks on a single cook, all in the MeatStick App.
How many at once
The MeatStick App monitors up to 8 Sticks at the same time. Activate each Stick one at a time on its charger, and they'll all appear in the app, each managed independently.
The number a single base or hub relays depends on the hardware:
V Duo Smart Base holds and charges 2 Sticks and shows both on its LCD.
V WiFi Hub (Forge) relays up to 8 Sticks — the Forge bundles ship with up to 4, but a single Hub handles the full 8.
Telling your Sticks apart — color rings
When more than one Stick is in the cook, the colored silicone ID rings keep them straight. Every V Core Set ships with three (yellow, blue, red).
Slip a ring onto each Stick's handle.
During pairing in the app, assign that Stick the matching color.
The reading you see in the app now matches the ring on the Stick — no more guessing which one is in the brisket and which is in the ribs.
Adding more Sticks to your setup
The simplest way to add a monitoring point is a V Core Set — a complete Stick plus a stackable charger. It pairs to the same MeatStick App account and works alongside the Sticks you already have. You never re-buy the smart base or hub.
For the full expansion story — how the chargers stack, how many probes per hub — see Adding more Sticks to your V Forge.
One ambient reading is enough
If your Sticks include an ambient sensor (the V Prime Stick) plus non-ambient Sticks (the V Core Stick), you only need one ambient reading per cook — the cooking environment is the same for every protein in the same smoker or oven. That's exactly why the V Duo Set pairs one ambient-equipped Stick with one that focuses on internal temperature.
